The Republic of Honduras located in Central America, shares its borders with Nicaragua and El Salvador to the south and with Guatemala to the northwest.  Geographically located in the privileged position, this country has to the north a coastal strip on the Caribbean Sea with a longitude of 750 km and to the South 165 km of beach in the Gulf of Fonseca in the Pacific Ocean.  It is divided into 18 departments and 293 municipalities with its own municipal mayors.
This Central American nation has abundant nature, beaches, a vast cultural legacy and a variety of archaeological richness, accompanied by the Honduran Caribbean.    The country offers all types of services for night entertainment, from bars, large discos, restaurants, commercial centers and lodging for all tastes and budgets.
Its capital is Tegucigalpa, surrounded by pines and architecture of modern and colonial contrasts.  It is a generous city which holds a fascinating history like its colonial and cultural values.
A visitor can appreciate its national monuments like the San Miguel Cathedral, the National Museum, the Culture House or National Theater, art galleries, among other entertainment options.  In addition the country offers alternatives to its surroundings, where you can find towns like San Juancito and el Valle of Angeles.  The national parks like La Leona, La Tigra and the United Nations are opportunities that you should not pass.  San Pedro Sula was founded in 1536 and it’s the second most important city located n the country’s northwest.

Copan, located towards the west constitutes the most important and representative tourism offer in the country.  Its most important municipalities are Santa Rosa and Ruinas de Copan known for being one of the most important exponents of the classic period of the Mayan civilization and for its archaeological value.
Its magnificent Museum was constructed with the objective of protecting and exhibiting the majority of the sites’ original sculptures. For the nature lovers you can find the La Montañita and the Tres Jotas tourism resort.
Comayagua on its part is located in the valley and department of the same name.  Its main attraction is its historical center, important for the conservation of the national heritage.  On the other hand, there are other options for excursions and ecological enjoyment.
On the Caribbean coast you can find natural reserves and wildlife refuge if you visit the Department of Atlantida, the cities of La Ceiba and Tela with attractive parks, beaches, rivers, mountains and abundant fauna.  All that untied to the ethnic heritage of the garífunas people.
You can visit the natural parks of Pico Bonito, Punta Sal which among others are partravel to tegucigalpat of the vast subsystem of protected areas.
Some 160 km east of La Ceiba you can find the historical city of Trujillo, first sight where Columbus set foot in 1502.   It conserves the ruins of various fortresses constructed to protect the area from pirate attacks.
The Islands of Bahia, pierced outside the coast of Honduras are made up by the Islands of Roatán, guanaja and Utila which has the largest variety of corals and marine sponges in the region.  Its National Marine Park is part of one of the most important coral reefs in the world.  The islands are famous for its excellent coastal scuba diving and its beautiful beaches.
