Belize is a country full of contrasts, mystery, beauty, music, history, culture and opportunities.  It is located on the eastern coast of Central America, in the western part of the Caribbean, just under the Yucatan Peninsula.  Belize borders Guatemala to the east and Mexico to the south.  Although Columbus navigated along its coasts in 1502, it was not until 1638 when English marines shipwrecked that area and pirates hunting Spanish merchandize colonized the territory.
The country is proud of having been blessed with a Mayan tradition.  Its people of diverse ethnic origin are made up of a mixed group of descendants from the Great Mayan Empire.  Diverse artistic manifestations have been conserved.  Belizean ethnic groups have preserved their cultures and religious traditions.  Magnificent temples and baseball fields remain in sites like Lamanai, Lubaantun, Altun Ha, Xunantunich and Caracol, monuments of the advanced Mayan civilization, which flourished in the country between 1500 AC and 1200 DC.
Belize has a beautiful and genuine tropical nature, although small, it has an enormous variety of customs and one of the most fascinating jungle landscapes and marine visits.    Belize’s exuberant rain forest are full of fantastic diversity of flora and fauna, its rivers, paths, its lagoons, beaches, mountains and valleys offers the visitor a great diverse attractions and activities, both on land and sea.  The Valle Travel to BelmopanEscondido Waterfalls of approximately 427 meters high is a fascinating sight.
Belize City can be appreciated through its monuments, museums and colonial architectural jewels that decorate this coastal city, in addition to being the starting point towards other attractions in the country.  Belmopan, the capital is located in Cayo District, it’s characterized by the calmness of the small suburban towns.  A visitor can also visit San Ignacio in the western part of the country; Dangriga in Stann Creek District where the Mayan mountains form the main scenario close to the sea.  Placencia, some 161 km to the south, is a narrow peninsula with 24 km of white sand beach, maybe the most beautiful in the country; also Punta Gorda, belonging to Toledo District.
In the Caulker Cave you will find the “split”, a popular corner to swim and explore with snorkels, which divides the island in the form of a half moon.  The San Pedro population in the Isle of Ambergris Travel to CaribeCave is located along the second largest coral barrier in the world with 280 km in extension and in the famous Blue Hole one of the world’s scuba diving classics.  With names like St. George’s Cave, Glover’s Reef and Light House Reef these areas make up hundreds of keys that are part of the coral reefs that you can enjoy.
